Germany’s Start-Up Scene: The 2017 “Start-up Monitor”

The 2017 edition of the Start-up Monitor for the German Start-ups Association (BVDS) has been released.

For the fifth years the report offers a comprehensive overview of the German start-up scene. The report was recently released by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin.

The Minister for Economic Affairs, Brigitte Zypries, commented:

“The Start-up Monitor shows that start-ups have become a well-established sector in all of Germany’s regions. It is encouraging to see that the proportion of female entrepreneurs has risen for the third year in succession.”
