Many larger companies have an entire department to help them plan and coordinate employee working time, shifts and payroll. But for smaller companies this whole area can be a burden on resources and time. Now, a Berlin start-up, Shyftplan, is offering these services online and has just raised a large amount of funding to take the company to the next level.
Shyftplan, has raised three million euros for its personnel planning and communication portal. The funders included entrepreneurship venture capital (UVC), Senovo, Coparion and previous investor, Kizoo. The company was founded in 2013 and raised 1.45 million euros in an initial funding round in 2014.
Using Shyftplan companies can create plans for shift workers as well as deployment plans for resource planning, plus payroll accounting. The new money raised in the recent round will be used to further development the product, as well as realise plans to expand internationally. In addition, Shyftplan wants to grow its team.
The start-up was founded in 2013 under the name of Pijajo by John Nitschke and Jan-Martin Josten. At the end of 2014, the company changed its name to Shyftplan. The platform has approximately 100,000 users in more than 16 countries and, since the beginning of the year, it has officially partnered with SAP in the areas of technology and sales.
