Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016 Ranking

The 2016 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) was recently released by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy which has been producing the ranking since 2003.

While Harvard University remains the number one in the world for the 14th year, there have been other changes. In Europe, Oxford moved from 10th place to 7th while ETH Zurich (19th) was the highest ranked institution in Continental Europe.

The University of Melbourne (40th) was the highest ranked of universities in Oceania, followed by University of Queensland (55th).
