Australia’s 10-year Strategy for the Internationalization of Higher Education

The Australian Government has released a plan to expand the internationalisation of Higher education.

The aim is to make Australia one of the world’s leading countries in education, training and research. One of the key measures of the “National Strategy for International Education 2025” includes:

Strengthening the foundations of the education system.

Transformative partnerships – at home and abroad – promoting mobility.

Increasing the international competitiveness of Australia by, among others, improving coordination.

To implement this strategy, the Australian Minister for International Education, Richard Colbeck, announced the establishment of a Council for International Education ( “Council for International Education”). The Australia Government is providing funding of approximately A$12m.
